Frequently Asked Questions

What size hitch pin for a 3/4 inch hole?

Use an 11/16" diameter pin for a 3/4" hole. This hitch pin has an actual diameter of 11/16" and is designed to fit 3/4" holes in power racks, hitches, and tractor implements. The slight clearance prevents binding.

How do I measure useable pin space on a hitch pin?

Measure from the bottom of the handle to the linchpin hole. This is the space that fits through your rack or hitch. Available useable lengths: 3 3/8", 3 3/4", 4 3/8", 4 3/4", 5 1/2". Match this to your tubing width + 0.5" for the linchpin.

What is the weight capacity of this hitch pin?

1000 lb working capacity for dynamic loads like rack safeties during lifts. 2000 lb static capacity for stationary loads like towing. Always check your rack manufacturer specs. Do not exceed working load.

Why does the pin have a lanyard and linchpin?

The lanyard tethers the pin to your rack so you never lose it. The linchpin locks through the hole to prevent the hitch pin from backing out under vibration or impact. Red PVC handle gives quick visual check that pins are secured.

Sizing Tip: For power racks, measure your upright tubing width. Add 0.5" for clearance. Example: 3" tubing needs 3.5" - 3.75" useable space. Choose the 6.75" total length pin.
